Cargill Malt Plant is an agribusiness company with malting facilities in Europe, the Americas and Australia. It has six Australian malt plants in Tasmania, Victoria, South Australia, New South Wales and Western Australia.
In June 2014, Allied Grain Systems were contracted to provide ten MFS HTT 24-19 silos and malt storage bins for Cargill in Minto, NSW.
This project included the demolition of existing infrastructure and concrete hardstand areas on-site. Allied Grain Systems constructed and installed bored pier type silo foundations.
Allied were required to design new over-silo structures and walkways linking the new silos with the existing silo systems on-site, as well as installing new conveyor systems for the project.
Cargill were so impressed with Allied Grain systems that they contracted us for another job in Adelaide.
In late 2015, Allied Grain Systems completed a project to provide 6 MFS HTT 21-14 silos, plus associated structures and walkways.
