Kayla Evans was raised on a grain and beef farm on the Darling Downs in Queensland.
After a stint in the Royal Australian Navy and earning her degree in Public Relations and Human Resources Management, she has spent the last six years managing careers programs in the Australian Agricultural industry.
Kayla is currently running the Commonwealth funded, national gap year program “Ag Career Start,” which connects young people looking to kick start their career in the sector with host farmers.
In this episode of Mates in Grain, we speak to Kayla about the success of the initiative and why it’s so important to support the next generation of ag workers.
