Allied Grain Systems is proud to work with leading global businesses in agriculture to develop next-level grain handling equipment.
These water resistant ceramic tiles are for the ship loading bulk weigher for T-Ports. The bulk weigher has been designed and constructed under license from the experts at C&A Scale Service in the United States – a team effort with Tony Tripodi from Colonial Tiling laying the tiles, METTLER TOLEDO providing the weigh cells and fabrication services of Williams Metal Fabrications.
By installing ceramic tiles to the hopper surfaces, it will resist abrasion and wear and in turn give the hoppers up to 7 times longer service life. The bulk weigher has three hoppers that require ceramic lining to resist the abrasive wear of the grain fed through the ship loading facility.
A Panamax vessel can hold 2.1 million bushels of wheat (or 57 thousand tonnes). To fill these massive transport ships, the bulk weigher must accurately weigh the grain to be shipped. Each of the seven Panamax vessel cargo holds can be loaded in as little as three hours.
Allied Grain Systems supplies a range of bulk weighers with throughput, up to 100 thousand bushels per hour. The 30 tonne, 15 metre high bulk weighing machine transfers grain between the hoppers at 100 cycles per hour.
